JAEN town in Nueva Ecija has procured new vehicles to upgrade and boost its response capability against the current Covid-19 pandemic crisis.
Jaen Myor Sylvia Austria said they used part of their calamity fund to acquire two ambulances, a rescue vehicle, and a solid waste management truck. The vehicles were assigned to their municipal disaster risk reduction and management office (MDRRMO).
“The vehicles are truly needed, especially now that there is a pandemic),” she said, adding that they have also established other facilities for the Covid-19 response.
To further stress the severity of the local situation, Austria reiterated her call to her constituents to continuously practice minimum health standards to stop the spread of the pandemic.
