Philippine National Police (PNP) chief, Gen. Camilo Cascolan has expressed hope the construction of new facilities in the PNP Academy would help in fulfilling its mandate to produce competent police officers.
At the recent inauguration of 10 new PNPA facilities in Camp Gen. Mariano Castañeda in Silang, Cavite. Cacolan said the new facilities constitute only one of our ongoing programs and plans for the development of the PNPA.
“We envision this academy as the country’s premier police training institution for PNP commissioned officers, that’s why we have to step up our actions for reforms and innovations in the police training programs,” he stressed.
Cascolan said the PNPA will also introduce new training approaches for cadets to become more efficient and well-disciplined public servants with utmost competency, high moral fiber, and respect for human rights.
Among the new facilities inaugurated were the PNP Heroes Hall, Virtual Classrooms, Lakan Tower Clock, The Ashfall Cadet Monument, Maroon and Gold Fence, PNPA Museum, PNPA Officer’s Quarters, Firearms Simulation Building, and Fitness Gym.
Last year, the PNP formally assumed full management jurisdiction over the PNPA.
