The United States will provide the Philippines US$18- million worth of precision-guided munitions.
Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said Tuesday the munitions will be available this upcoming December.
“They have given us US$18 million worth of military equipment that will arrive next month. Those are precision-guided munitions that can be dropped with pinpoint accuracy,” he told media at the Manila South Harbor where he led the send-off of the BRP Tarlac.
He did not give specifics on the munitions. The BRP was was deployed to typhoon-battered Catanduanes for a relief mission.
